NOCTURNAL PROJECTIONS - UNDERSTANDING (AUDIO)

PETER JEFFERIES, músico epiléptico de nacionalidad neozelandés fundaría en 1981 junto a su hermano la banda Nocturnal Projections. Declaró en algún momento sobre la canción 'Electricity' de su autoría: "Soy epiléptico. la canción se refiere a un apagón y se relaciona con mi electricidad. Al parecer tengo un montón de electricidad en mi cuerpo."

Los de Stratford cultivaron durante su breve pero agitada existencia (del 81 al 83) el género que se conocería en la posteridad como post-punk, continuamente su sonido es relacionado a JOY DIVISION pero sin el exigente nivel de producción característico de las bandas británicas y con una guitarra sustancialmente mas ruidosa.

NOISE-SHOEGAZE de Ipswich -Inglaterra, banda formada por los hermanos Neil and Nick Singleton (guitarra y bajo respectivamente), Steve Scott (batería) y Salli Carson (vocalista), se mantuvieron activos durante los años 89 al 93, tiempo en el cual lograron editar 4 LP´s siendo este homónimo el primero de ellos.

"What inspires Cecilia::Eyes to continue creating music?

Gauthier: I think it’s the music itself that inspires us to continue and create new songs, I mean we can be inspired by the idea that one of us has got at a certain moment, and of course we are inspired by the music everyone in the band listen to, or by the music we grew up with. Important people and moments of our lives are also a source of inspiration I think.
Chris: After the first album we wanted to create a darker one, less accessible, wich doesn’t fit in the rigid context of what is commonly called “post rock”, but which musically remains nevertheless the obvious result of MOUNTAINTOPS ARE SOMETIMES CLOSER TO THE MOON, with typical sonorities from cecilia:: eyes, that the public will be able to recognize."
